Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, pool operations, sales and customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures.
2. Assists other managers and department supervisors with fulfillment of the daily tasks.
3. Manages the staff of Goldfish Swim School to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
4. Trains and oversees swim instructors to provide superior swim instruction to the students of Goldfish Swim School. Interacts with Deck Supervisors on issues related to class scheduling, student progress, customer service and employee performance and training.
5. Provides sales and customer service training to all qualified sales and front desk staff.
6. Provides direction in the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing is achieved.
7. Trains and oversees private party staff to ensure that the Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures are being maintained.
8. Gains knowledge and experience in the iClassPro software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting and administrative functions.
9. Gains a high level of knowledge and experience in the Goldfish Swim School pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
10. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities (“fun" department) with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
11. Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the Goldfish Swim School facility and trains all current staff on the Goldfish Swim School EAP.
12. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally in the aquatics and management fields.
13. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
Candidate profile: Willing and able to be hands-on, must be a "doer". Detail-oriented and organized. Flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities. Ability to remain calm and direct staff under a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability and skills to work with children. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general cloud-based software knowledge.

Education and experience requirements: High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Experience as a teacher, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider required. Three or more years management experience preferred. Swim instructor experience preferred. Must pass background examinations (included with training).
Certificates and licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification required - can be obtained or renewed through our facility.

Work environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate. Busiest hours are weeknights and weekends.
