Summary:
Our Lead Instructor & Front Desk Supervisor is a keyholder position responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction, supervising daily operations, supporting staff, and providing excellent customer service. This role ensures smooth facility operations, safety compliance, and a positive experience for students and families.
Our Lead Instructor & Front Desk Supervisor is a keyholder position responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction, supervising daily operations, supporting staff, and providing excellent customer service. This role ensures smooth facility operations, safety compliance, and a positive experience for students and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Swim Instruction
- Provide safe, engaging, and effective swim lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Follow established curriculum and adapt lessons to individual student needs
- Maintain a safe learning environment and enforce pool safety rules
Supervision & Leadership
- Serve as a keyholder responsible for opening and closing the facility
- Supervise swim instructors and front desk staff during assigned shifts
- Ensure staff follow policies, procedures, and safety standards
Front Desk & Customer Service
- Greet and assist families with scheduling, registration, payments, and general inquiries
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person communication professionally
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and positively
Operations & Safety
- Monitor pool safety and respond to emergencies according to training
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the facility
- Communicate maintenance or operational issues to management
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in swim instruction, aquatics, or recreation preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to enter the pool and demonstrate swimming techniques
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
