Responsibilities
- Teaches swim lessons to children using Goldfish Swim School's proven, award-wininng curriculum
- Coaches, motivates and supports children who are learning to swim
- Provides continuous feedback to Deck Supervisors on swimmer progress and completes quarterly evaluations for students
- Uses problem solving/creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
- Develops positive relationships with swimmers and families
- Ensures swimmer safety at all times
- Sets up, organizes and puts away lesson equipment
- Attends staff meetings, trainings and in-services as scheduled
- Follows all Goldfish policies, rules and regulations including emergency and safety procedures
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Ability to instruct swimming lessons (40 hours of paid training is provided.)
- Knowledge of swim strokes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated team player with the desire to continuously improve through positive feedback and coaching
- Available to work weekends
- Must pass background check
- Lifeguard certification is a plus (Goldfish certifies employees on-site and provides a $100 certification bonus.)

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Each Goldfish Swim School is an independently owned and operated franchise. The respective Franchisee is the employer at each Goldfish Swim School location. Each franchisee can set their own wages, benefit programs and terms and conditions of employment, which may vary at each Goldfish Swim School location.
