Role: General Manager
Summary: Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, pool operations, cash
management, customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities.

management, customer service, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to GSS standard operating procedures.
• Assists General Manager and department managers with fulfillment the daily tasks
• Manages the school’s staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction to ensure
satisfaction
• Trains and oversees aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to the students.
• Schedules staff and manages payroll
• Works with staff on class scheduling, student progress, customer service and employee performance & training.
• Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures for the facility and trains staff
• Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field
• Advances through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members.
Job Qualifications and Skills
• Ability to work with children
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Problem solver and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations prior to training
